Here's the beautiful thing about working with an independent celebrant: you have complete freedom.
Want to get married at sunset on a beach? In your favourite garden? At a converted barn or manor house? We can do that. Want to include your dog as ring bearer? Mix cultural traditions? Have readings from your favourite books rather than traditional poems? Include a gin tasting ritual? (I'm particularly keen on that one!) We can absolutely do all of that too.
You're not restricted by time limits, traditional scripts, religious requirements, or venue rules. This is your celebration, shaped entirely by what matters to you.

Step One: Let's Meet
After you get in touch, we'll arrange our first meeting. This is where I get to know you – how you met, what makes you laugh, what your dreams are. It's relaxed and informal, just a lovely conversation.

You'll complete a questionnaire that helps me understand your story in depth, and I'll send you resources to help you choose readings, music, and any rituals you'd like to include.

You'll have the opportunity to review the script and request any changes. We'll work together until it's absolutely perfect.

In the week or two before your wedding, we'll meet again to go through final details and ensure everyone knows exactly what's happening.

Do we still need to register our marriage legally?
Yes. In England and Wales, the legal registration happens separately from your celebrant ceremony. Most couples do a simple signing with a registrar a few days before or after their celebration with me. It's quick and straightforward, and then your ceremony can be exactly what you want without legal constraints.
